Margaritavilleeeeeee

My only request in Vegas is that we go to Margaritaville. I LOVE their margaritas. I seriously dream about them. They are so darn good. I'm determined to buy the mix one day and make my own!

The boys met with us there and we ordered a round. This time, we didn't order the massive nachos (see post), but we did order the shrimp again. We weren't that hungry, but sitting there makes you want to munch on something.

I got the strawberry margarita and it was as good as I remembered it. A little tart at first - margaritas ARE tart!, but still delicious. Sigh...I want some now!

Margaritas + Nachos

Note: I am so far behind on these posts. :(

Vegas posse and I headed to Margaritaville for some nice, ice cold margaritas to beat the heat. It tasted sooooo good. I haven't had such a good margarita in a long time.

We were going to experience the Wynn buffet later that night and didn't want to fill up on a big lunch. We were a little hungry, so we decided to split an order of nachos and some peel-you-own shrimp.

The nachos were HUGE as you can see. Piled high with multi-colored crisp tortilla chips, BBQ chicken, jalapenos, tomatoes, green onions and smothered all with tons of cheese and sour cream. We had six people to split the order with and still wasn't able to finish the order. It was definitely a great compliment to the margaritas. :)

The best nachos I've had were actually in Memphis, TN at BB Kings. It was a BBQ pulled pork nacho special. It had all the fix-ins like I mentioned, but instead of chicken - it was pulled, tender pork drenched in a sweet, tangy BBQ sauce.. Delicious!

The shrimp was ok. Boiled shrimp that was sprinkled with Old Bay Seasoning. Nothing that special.

Margaritaville is a fun, entertaining place. During our meal, we had a little performance (this is Vegas alright!). Not THAT entertaining, but interesting to watch. The decor is cute - sailboats were cut in half to accomodate guests. The whole vibe is all about sailing and having a good time with your friends.

I want some of that margarita mix now. So much better than that Jose Cuervo stuff I always get.
