Clam Chowda

Feeling much better, but still not well enough to eat anything too greasy, I opted for Boudin's $7 "Best of Boudin" combo of two items. You have the option to choose soup, salad or half of a sandwich.

Of course half of my combo had to be Boudin's famous clam chowder. I wasn't too hungry, so the other half was a Caesar salad.

I really like their clam chowder. It's not thick, but not watery - the perfect consistency with the correct ratio of clams and potatoes. Caesar salad's not bad either, although a little garlicky after taste from the dressing.

Clam Chowder Friday

Another meal outside of Gap! ;)

I was craving for some clam chowder so I headed to Boudin on the Embarcadero. It took me awhile to find it since I've never been there, but it was such a nice, sunny day, I didn't mind wandering around.

I often get the "best of Boudin" for around $7, which is a two item combo with your choice of soup, salad or half a sandwich. I got a cup of clam chowder and half of California veggie sandwich. The sandwich was quite good and came with Havarti and pepper jack cheese, avocado, red peppers, cucumbers, lettuce, red onion, tomatoes on a multi-grain bread. I really loved the bread - really soft center with a thick, flavorful crust.

Lunch was satisfying, but could have been even better if I enjoyed it outside. Next time! :)
